Saudi Arabia’s ministry of culture launches “Voice Of Poem” competition

Riyadh: In a recent development, the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia announced to organise the “voice of poem” competition. This is to mark 2023 as the year of Arabic poetry. The competition is aimed at supporting young people in the art of recitation by honing their skills.

It is to be specifically mentioned that Arabs are known for their eloquent understanding of poetry. This poetry event is to involve every and each one who has the knowledge and ability to recite. Moreover this competition will be an opportunity to display the skills of the talented people.

It is to be specifically mentioned that writing poetry is exciting for writers of all ages. poetry is a unique skill, Some people have the natural talent to write beautifully, while others acquire this talent with their own effort.

This competition will be open for people of all ages . They might have a natural talent, or they may have acquired it with practice to recite beautiful poetry.

As per the available information, the very first stage of the competition will begin with the virtual mode. At this stage, contestants will upload their video clips. This clip will be for a particular age group. The clip will have the recitation of the poem in the beautiful voice of the contestants.

Based on this first stage, the contestants will be selected for the second round. These clips of the first round will be evaluated thoroughly, and then ineligible candidates will be excluded.

At the same time, the skills of the selected contestants will be shown to the public through different modes including social media platforms. The public will have to option to cast the vote for the best performer. Based on the votes gained by the contestants, the winner will be decided.

The organiser of the event expressed hopes that this competition will be beneficial for the upliftment of Arabic poetry in the future.
