Egypt: The department of Treasures, burials and antiquities of the Arab world has shared an extraordinary update regarding a recent unusual incident with a beggar named Jenny Fitzgerald, 38, who found a chest dating back to the Victorian-Era-Tressure.

The officials of the Burials and Antiquities organization of Egypt quoted the incident as “A beggar smiles her luck to find a Victorian-era treasure worth thousands of dollars. A beggar smiles on her luck to find Victorian-era treasure”.

As per the recent information, Jenny Fitzgerald, 38, found a wooden treasure chest containing old coins, gems, a pocket watch, and a silver ring while participating in a beach clean-up campaign in northern Norfolk.

Furthermore, Jenny works as a medical secretary at a clinic and finds about 100 old coins, jewellery, a rusty pocket watch, and a silver ring inside the box.

In her statement after the incident, she stated, “I’ve never found anything like this. “I usually go to the beach to collect scattered glass and shells, and finding this gem was incredible.”

In her remarks, Jenny added, “found this box by accident. At first I thought it was a piece of driftwood, but then I saw the top”. Jenny found the box on March 20 while with North Norfolk Beach Cleans, a group of volunteers working to clean up Norfolk’s beaches.

Moreover, the 10-inch-tall box was found at the bottom of a low ramp, hidden behind a sand pavement. Her husband James, 40, an IT consultant, helped her bring the 3-pound box home in Norwich. Their children Harrison, 9, and Darcy, 6, helped clean the sand on it with an old toothbrush.

Jenny said, “the box was covered in sand. But it was in relatively good shape for its age, “We found 100 coins, mostly from the Victorian era and some dating back to George III, Jenny added, but some of these looked Roman and some date back to the Middle Ages.”

In the end, the couple also found an embellished perfume bottle and iron key and a silver engraved matchbox holder with Ernest’s name. The fund will be presented to Norfolk County Council and then forwarded to the forensic to determine who will benefit.

“The communication officer who discovered it believes this box has historical value,” Jenny said. My children thought they were going to be rich; my son Harrison thought he was dreaming; he wanted the best Lego set”.
