Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew – The Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, has shared an update regarding the transformation of the house of Sir Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw, the nation’s first Premier, into a historical museum to be the completed by September 16 2023. He revealed the blueprints of the museum during the Labour Day Parade, 2023, held in Basseterre on May 01, 2023.
According to the latest information, Prime Minister of the island nation, Terrance Drew, took to his official social media handle to express his pride and honour regarding the construction of the historical museum.
In his Facebook caption, he noted, “The home of the First Premier of St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Sir Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw, will be renovated, and a museum created in his honor.”
While revealing the map and blueprints of the Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw Museum at the Labour Day Parade Ceremony, Prime Minister also stated that the museum holds great significance for the people of St Kitts and Nevis in many terms.
He added that it would inspire and motivate the country’s residents as it would reflect positivity and an ideal path to follow.
Furthermore, he also expressed his gratitude towards Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw, national hero and first Premier of St Kitts and Nevis, for his exceptional achievements and hard work done for the nation and its people.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew asserted that Robert Bradshaw has contributed in a significant manner to uplift the nation while paving the path for them as future leaders.
In this regard, Prime Minister cited, “The home of the First National Hero should be looked at as a symbol of self-sacrifice and putting the nation above self. It should also be an idol for the people who visit us that we hold in high esteem, those personalities who have made a significant contribution to nation-building.”
Moreover, during the Labour Day Parade ceremony and unveiling of the plan for the museum, PM Drew acknowledged the project team leading the construction of the museum. He mentioned that the team has been putting enormous efforts into completing the project in the anticipated time by September 16, 2023.
“The Project Team includes Victor Williams, Project Manager and Project Lead, Arlene Edwards of Williams Architectural, Peter Jenkins of Jenkins Limited, Lennox Warner of Lennox Warner & Partner, Travis Merritt of DreamWorks Design, and Calvin Esdaille. The Coordinating Agency is the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) which was represented by Ashmaine Allers, Project Manager in PMO,” Prime Minister recognized the project team members.
In the end, PM Drew conveyed that the project would be completed within a 5-month period in time for September 16 2023 – National Heroes Day and Sir Robert Bradshaw’s 107th birthday.
