Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica is all set to welcome international cricket by hosting a test series between India and West Indies from July 12 to 16, 2023. First of the two test matches will be played at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Dominica, as the beginning of the World Test Championship for 2023-2025.
According to recent reports, the schedule for India’s tour of the West Indies was announced by the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The teams will face each other in all three formats starting with the first test match in Dominica out of two, 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is from July 12 to August 13.
It has been reported that the series of two test matches will kick off the journey of both countries towards the next edition of the ICC World Test Championship. The Commonwealth of Dominica will is all set to host Indian Mens Cricket Team for the first test match at the Windsor Park Stadium.
In contrast, the other match will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad from 20 to July 24, 2023. The second test match will also be a historical instance as both teams will compete against each other in the 100th test match.
As per the issued schedule, India and West Indies will face each other for two ODIs in Barbados and conclude the third in Trinidad. The ODI series will consist of three matches that have raised excitement among the locals, said reports.
The third ODI will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on August 1, 2023, after competing in the first two matches in Barbados. Following this, the T20 series will kick off on August 3 at the same venue.
After which, India’s tour of the West Indies will move on to Guyana and Florida for two matches each. Cricket West Indies called the people to purchase the tickets via their official website on June 20.
