PM Terrance Drew visits Canada for Canada-CARICOM summit

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, visited Canada to attend the Canada-CARICOM summit. This is the inaugural meeting of the Canada-CARICOM . During his visit, PM also met Greg Fergus, the newly elected Speaker of the House of Commons of canada. He also announced to meet the Canadian Diaspora and hold discussion. A small delegation of High-level Ministers accompanies Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew.

PM Dr drew is currently on a tour of canada for Canada-CARICOM summit. This summit is very significant and plays a vital role in the relationship between Canada and CARICOM. The Canada-CARICOM meeting will be held under the helm of  Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, and the chairperson of the CARICOM, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit.

After he arrived in Canada, PM Dr Drew announced that he would hold a meeting with the Canadian Diaspora for discussion. This meeting of the Diaspora will be held on the sidelines of the Canada-CARICOM summit. Canadian Diaspora of St Kitts and Nevis is very excited about the event. Many people expressed their happiness over the invitation of the Prime Minister to hold a discussion with them. According to members of the Diaspora, it is a great opportunity, and we are looking forward to attend the meeting of the Canadian Diaspora with Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew.

The meeting of Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew with the Diaspora will be held on 19th October at the chancery of the High Commission, 421 Besserer Street in Ottawa. Moreover, the High Commission is going to host the meeting. The meeting will run from 6 PM to 8 PM.PM Dr Drew and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Douglas invited the people to come present and hold a discussion with their leadership.

This is not the first time the PM is holding a meeting with the Diaspora. Even in the past, Prime Minister Drew had held various meetings with the Diaspora intending to get in touch with the people of the Kittitian and Nevisian roots. The event will also allows the people to share their views with leaders of their native countries.
