St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew desires to encourage the higher education. He shared photographs with the students of Cayon High School, where he interacted with the kids and assured them of increasing facilities in the education sector.
While sharing the snippets he highlighted that he recently posted a series of construction projects which are still under progress. And now he will post a series of socio-economic policies that are for the benefit of all the people.
PM Drew confirmed that now he will begin with posting the posts of the higher education and emphasised upon the goal of the government that is to increase significantly access to post-secondary education.
Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis ensured that the federation has added the Southern University option where they are already sending the students for completing their further education or studies.
Drew stressed on making the announcement related to the opening of Technical Vocational Training to Germany, where students are preparing themselves, to go.
Adding to this PM Drew said that the government has lowered the interest rate at the Development Bank from 9% to 5%, and made it one of the lowest in the region and moreover, the lowest in the history ever.
Furthermore, they have frozen the interest payments for 4 and 1/3 years and saved each student upwards of $25,000. Prime Minister Drew is confident about restarting the program by injecting $10,000,000 into the Development Bank.
The program has been started again as we all know that the Bank was left in financial crisis and was mostly ruined by the previous administration, stated Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew.
He added to his statement and said that they must continue to build the human resource capacity through academic and technical or vocational routes.
PM Drew spent his quality time with the kids of Cayon High School in encouraging them and filling their brain with knowledge, by conducting educational sessions.
