St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew introduces the launch of the first-ever Investment Gateway Summit in the twin island. The event is being observed from July 10, 2024 to July 14, 2024 and brought together the industry leaders with an aim of redefining the investment landscape in the federation.
Reportedly, the Summit featured high-level panel discussions that took place. The event considered range of topics and included investing in technologies for enhancing food production and security, energy and resource management and strategies for effective due diligence and risk management that were discussed.
Prime Minister Drew addressed the gathering and welcomed the investors to the beautiful twin island. The summit is based on the theme ‘Connect, Collaborate, celebrate’ and is more than just a gathering.
The event was a testament to collective vision of forging a prosperous future through innovation, partnership and shared success. He expressed that as he is standing before the audience, he is filled with immense pride for the nation’s rich heritage, dynamic culture and the boundless opportunities that lie ahead.
PM Drew further talked about him being in the leadership and said that since becoming the prime minister on August 06, 2022, the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Administration, led by him, he has been committed to transform the nation island into a beacon of sustainability, good governance and economic resilience.
He considered it as one of the cornerstones of the transformation that has been the comprehensive reform of the Citizenship by Investment Programme. The CBI programme was established 40 years ago and has been a vital part of the economy, by attracting global investors and fostering development.
Upon taking the office, it became evident that the programme required significant restructuring to enhance its integrity and effectiveness. Drew highlighted that they have embarked on a journey of rigorous transparency and excellence.
PM Drew emphasised on the Investment Gateway Summit 2024 and explained that it is a manifestation of their vision. As for the next five days, the visitors will have the opportunity to connect with the like-minded individuals, where they will collaborate on innovative projects and celebrate the achievements of the nation.
He further expressed that this summit is not just about business, it is about forging and lasting relationships and creating a shared legacy of prosperity.
