St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew introduces the new CT scan, installed in JNF General Hospital.
PM Drew explained that with the installation of the CT scan machines, they aim to have it commissioned by September. The machine is a 125 slice, which means that it is so advance, and its purpose will be to diagnose the heart disease.
While considering this, Prime Minister Drew extended gratitude to the Ministry of Health leadership i.e. ‘Ministry of Health St. Kitts and Nevis’ and Special Envoy for Health – Dr. Frank Laws for making this possible.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health Laboratory Department received a donation of supplies from the Pan American health Organisation to continue the strengthening of the Laboratory Services at the Blood Bank.
This included equipment for screening, a phlebotomy chair and a cabinet. Considerably, this would certainly enhance the quality of the services which provided by the unit as the MOH works assiduously towards improving Services at the JNF Hospital.
Reportedly, the Ministry of Health in St. Kitts and Nevis in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), has launched a comprehensive two-day Healthy Workplace Workshop.
It was a significant event that aimed at developing a robust framework and promoting health and well-being within the workplace, that is set to be implemented across the ministry and then will eventually be extended to all government sectors.
Permanent Secretary of Health – Curtin Martin shared the photographs of the CT scan machine received at the hospital and expressed that their brand new CT Scan arrives on Island.
