St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew visited the JNF General Hospital on August 19, 2024. As the Minister of Health of St. Kitts and Nevis, he visited to see some recent upgrades made at the nation’s main healthcare facility.
Reportedly, the visit included the foyer that was renovated in collaboration with The Cable and the neurology department, which was recently outfitted with a new Neurofax EEG machine.
Prime Minister Drew also received an update on the construction of the new MRI facility which is being constructed on the hospital’s compound.
PM Drew was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health – Curtis Martin and the Director of the Health Institutions – Dr. Jenson Morton.
Considering his visit, Prime Minister Drew expressed that after his visit with Commissioner Sutton, he visited the JNF General Hospital to get an update on the upgrades to the foyer. The construction of the MRI building and to get a first hand look at the brand-new EEG machine, which was explained by the resident neurologist.
Extending his gratitude towards the health team, PM Drew said that he would like to thank the Permanent Secretary and the Health team for accompanying him on the tour.
Drew added that, the Health Department is definitely progressing well and he would like to thank the team for their continuous hard work.
He emphasised upon the challenges faced during the work and said that some challenges remained still but they were determined to continue the progressive work on behalf of the beloved people.
