St. Kitts and Nevis: Citizen Security Community Conversations (CSCC) continued across the nation with its another segment, which was conducted as a part of the 90-Day Campaign Against Violence and Crime, on Wednesday, October 09, 2024.
Considering this Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr. Terrance Drew presented his wishes and shared glimpses from the recently held session. He expressed that he extends his gratitude to everyone who participated in the conversation at Bronte Welsh Primary School on Wednesday evening.
The discussions held was a part of the 90-Day Campaign Against Violence and Crime which was launched just a month ago by the citizen Security Task Force within the Prime Minister’s Office.
As per the sources, the campaign undertakes a series of activities to understand the causes, consequences and solutions to violence and crime.
The event was arranged by the Citizen Security Secretariat under the St. Kitts and Nevis patronage of the government. As the consultations are being hosted across the country as part of the campaign that targets local citizens and residents of the nation.
However, these consultations urge the residents of St. Kitts and Nevis to come-up with their responses and feedback or thoughts and ideas that can curb the issue of crime and violence. The diverse cross-section of society took part in the consultations and featured the outlining of the major initiatives against the situations considering violence and more.
Days for conducting the interaction sessions have been scheduled and are being conducted according to that. The first session was conducted on Monday, October 07, 2024 at St. Peter’s Community Centre.
During that session, discussions were held which were mainly focused on the strategic measures that could be helpful in promoting a peaceful environment and mitigating criminal activities.
The gathering was also a part of the 90-day campaign against violence and crime. It is following a project that is launched by the government to promote the non-violent culture across St. Kitts and Nevis. Those knowledgeable discussions were involved during the talks where citizens gathered to share their ideas about enhancing a peaceful mindset.
