St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew appreciated the refurbishment work of the learning centre – ‘Joy Learning Centre’ at the Pediatric Ward of the JNF General Hospital. The work was observed under the direction of his wife Diani Jimesha Prince Drew.
PM Drew shared the pictures from the event and asked his followers to join him in showing appreciation for his wife, The Joy Project and its donors for the beautiful refurbishment of the learning centre at the St. Kitts and Nevis hospital.
Dr. Drew shared the photographs and stated that The Joy Project has officially handed over the newly renovated and revitalized ‘Joy Learning Centre’ to the pediatric ward of JNF General Hospital.
Reportedly, a few months ago, the team became aware of the playroom/learning centre and recognized the need for revitalization. They immediately took on the project, started work and in just a few weeks, they successfully transformed the space.
All about Joy Learning Centre
The newly renovated Joy Learning Centre features a brand-new TV, air conditioning unit, along with blinds, new flooring and a variety of books that include several things to read such as coloring books, activity books, storybooks, novels for all ages and educational books that cover subjects like science and health.
The space in JNF General Hospital of St. Kitts and Nevis also consists of educational toys, stationery, paint sets and an incredible mural, designed and painted by the incredibly talented artist – Vaughn Anslyn.
Diani Jimesha Prince Drew expresses gratitude
Jimesha Drew also extended special thanks to Anslyn for dedicating his time and creativity to the project. They appreciated the leadership of JNF General Hospital and the staff of the Pediatric Wing for allowing them to adopt and transform the space for their assistance in clearing and setting it up.
The team is also grateful to Ernest Amory of Amory Enterprises, who is a great supporter of The Joy Project and before the official launch of the Joy Learning Centre. Amory has generously sponsored the mural for this initiative.
Adding up to this, they sincerely thanked Leoan Mathew from Matthew Business Solutions for giving them the new TV. The team believed that cultivating joy and positivity can play a significant role in healing and recovery. They hope that this space brings comfort, upliftment and joy to all who use it.
Notably, this is the first project of the year, and certainly it won’t be the last. They are committed to bringing joy and make a meaningful impact in the St. Kitts and Nevis communities.
