St. Kitts and Nevis: Foreign Affairs Minister – Dr. Denzil L Douglas and Foreign Affairs Secretary of The Republic of Philippines – Enrique A. Manalo met at the 27th meeting of COFCOR held by CARICOM.
Reportedly, Minister Denzil met with Philippine’s secretary Enrique A. Manalo to enhance the diplomatic relations between both the countries on the 25th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Foreign Affairs Secretary of The Republic of Philippines was invited to address the 27th meeting of COFCOR on May 08 to 09, 2025. The meeting was held to promote the relations with International Organizations and third states.
The main objective of the meeting was to highlight the relations with the countries such as Philippines, with an aim to find common problems which are being faced by more countries like them.
Considering the high-level meeting, Secretary Manalo expressed about his experience and said that he was honoured to be there and to meet the Foreign Minister Denzil Llewellyn Douglas and the Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew at the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both the countries.
However, 2025 has been an year of milestones as both the countries are willing to take their relations to new heights and are in talks to give full support to each other in future. The nations take each other in confidence in closer and tighter ties ahead.
Notably, COFCOR has fifteen member states and six associated members, to which foreign minister further added to his statement that they had some personal matters to discuss as they are anticipating the retreat and desire to expand the membership of CARICOM by taking it to a lager extent with great relationship and strengthening bond with all the member countries and third states.
Concluding the meeting, the Ministers committed to further strengthen the long-standing bilateral ties between their nations and to seek out opportunities for cooperation in the pursuit of common goals at global level.
