St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew visited the Conaree Community Center, to witness the Canadian Armed Forces and St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force working together to repaint and revitalize the facility.
PM Drew marked this gesture of goodwill as a clear reflection of the strong partnership between Canada and St. Kitts and Nevis. He extended his sincere gratitude to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Defence force for their service and continued their commitment towards community and regional support.
Remarks by PM Drew on International Cooperation
While sharing the glimpses from his visit Dr. Drew said that the team is part of the crew aboard HMCS William Hall, which was docked at Port Zante in support of Operation CARIBBE. He appreciated their contribution to the communities and to the wider Caribbean.
Recently, demonstrating the goodwill and international friendship, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, with support from the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, revitalised the Conaree Community Center on Thursday, June 05, 2025 by giving it a fresh coat of paint and other necessary care.
This collaborative effort reflects the strong diplomatic and defence ties between Canada and St. Kitts and Nevis.
PM Drew’s Visit to Express Appreciation
Considering this, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, who also serves as the Parliamentary Representative for the Conaree area, visited the site early in the morning on Thursday to express his appreciation and solidarity.
Prime Minister Drew personally thanked the officers for their dedicated service and their ongoing humanitarian efforts, in St. Kitts and Nevis and across the wider Caribbean region.
Notably, the visiting Canadian troops are part of the crew aboard His Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) William Hall, which currently docked at Port Zante.
At present, the vessel is in the region supporting Operation CARIBBE—Canada’s contribution to the U.S.-led Joint Interagency Task Force South, focused on counter-narcotics operations and enhancing security across the Caribbean.
The visit marked a great significance in St. Kitts and Nevis history of strengthened relationship with Canada.
