About 5,417 male and female students from the fourth to eighth grade launched a plan to compensate for educational losses in the educational districts, where they joined their summer classes this morning, with 1232 male and female students in the Hawalli region, 1,337 in the capital, 889 in Farwaniya, 745 in Ahmadi, 613 in Mubarak Al-Kabeer, and 601 students in Jahra according to school subjects. The four are Arabic, English, Mathematics, and Science.
The director of the Jahra Training Center, Mishaal Al-Subaie, told Al-Rai that the center had prepared seven complete classes to receive Jahra students under the supervision of 25 teachers, and registration is still going on, as we expect the center to witness a greater turnout from parents to address the effects of the pandemic on the educational system and the educational loss it has caused among the students.
Many male and female students pointed out at the same time that the number of registered students resembled repetition because the statistics were made according to the number of students registered in each subject.
While Al-Subaie confirmed that this is the first stage of the ministry’s plan, which includes grades four to eight, he stressed that the second stage would include students of the remaining grades to compensate for educational losses according to the ministry’s plan.
A number of teachers told Al-Rai that the first day of the plan’s launch witnessed diagnostic surveys for students to determine the educational skills needed for each student and based on which the treatment plan is determined.
