The Prime Minister of Israel, Yair Lapid, congratulated the Education Minister of Israel, Yifat Shasha-Biton on the publication of guidelines to provide a sense of protection, security and care to LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) children and youth of Israel.
Yair Lapid expressed his regards to the Israeli Education Minister for the extraordinary and essential efforts she had put behind the success of such publications of guidelines in the country.
Furthermore, Lapid said that ”every boy and girl should feel safe and secure in the public setting such as schools irrespective of the community they belong to”. Every student should be treated equally, guided, and supported on their suitable path”.
The Israeli Prime Minister also considered that the education system is facing many problems, and the schools’ staff are facing challenges regularly. The schools are trying their best to make the situation better. At the same time, if LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, bisexual and Transgender) children and youth are treated respectfully, along with a sense of protection and acceptance, it will enhance the overall picture of Israeli society.

PM said that the schools and institutions of Israel must be prepared and open at the professional and emotional level to welcome students related to the LGBT community, PM said. The management of the educational institutions should provide personal help and express their acceptance towards the children and youth of LGBT. The support will boost their morale and make them feel safe at a deeper level.
The Prime Minister called the decision an exceptional and remarkable move made by the ministry of education.
The approved guidelines will focus on providing safety to LGBT children in their education system. They can complete their studies and follow their dream careers as per their choices.
According to Prime Minister Lapid, ”The LGBT children and youth deserve every right to be given equal life opportunities. They should be acknowledged as an important part of the community”, he noted.
Additionally, the people related to such communities have always been considered different from others. They have been facing discrimination, criticism and stigma from the world. Such people’s carrier has also been affected by such bias. In some cases, the people also get beaten up, abused and not accepted by the so-called ordinary people of society.
The inequality of LGBT people has been a worldwide issue for a long time. Even though many laws have been passed worldwide to assist LGBT people in equality and safety, the ground reality of the conditions of such people is still an issue to resolve.
