Dominica: The DA Sports Vybez organization has conveyed that 2022 is about to end soon. In the coming year, DA Sports plans to feature the photographs on billboards in a different locations in Dominica to express immense gratitude towards their athletes and local heroes.
As per the updates, DA Sports Vybez is an organization that works towards promoting sports and pushing the athletes of Dominica forward in their careers. The information was shared via a post on the official social media account of the DA Sports organization, where the officials conveyed the places and spots where the billboards will be located.
Furthermore, DA Sports published the name of Thea Noeliva LaFond, a triple jumper from Roseau, Dominica, who was born on 5 April 1994. Per her sports career statistics, she won a silver medal during the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the women’s triple jumper event.
Thea Lafond also registered her name in the Dominican sports fertility by becoming the first Dominican athlete to win a medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Moreover, she has also represented her country at major global events.
Along with Thea Lafond, DA Sports also named Kavem Ajoel Rakem Hodge, a Dominican right-handed batsman who has represented both the Windward Islands and the Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket. Kavem was born in Roseau, Dominica, on 21 February 1993 and presently playing for St Lucia Zouks.
The DA Sports further shared the locations of billboards in different areas, which read as follows,
– While leaving for the airport.
– When arriving in the city of Roseau, Dominica.
– When crossing the Layou Bridge.
– Newtown Savannah Area.
In addition, DA Sports pointed out that DOC and NATIONAL Associations should come together and collaborate with the private sector as well between DEPEX and EMILE.
In the end, the DA Sports Vybez organization conveyed that the people of Dominica should remember their local heroes, athletes and sportsperson. The management stated, “Don’t forget the icons” we need to let the present generation feel the vibes. Make them want to work to represent the country. We need to start somewhere”.
