Egypt: The Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Dr Amr Talaat, is currently on a tour to India to enhance the Indian-Egyptian cooperation in the sector of IT (Information Technology),
and met with the Director General of Software Technology Centres to research collaboration in supporting digital innovation and development of start-ups
As per the recent updates, Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, also meets with the NASSCOM Vice President and President of World Trade Development to research cooperation in the pledge industry and cross-border services.
The Minister of MCIT Egypt seeks cooperation and association in the Qualification of personnel specialized in communication science and information technology to provide better IT facilities to the people of Egypt, specifically youth.
Moreover, Today on January 12, Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, met with Professor Ranjan Banerjee, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology IIT one of the world’s best institutes in capacity building software and systems development in the Indian capital New Delhi.
In addition, the meeting was focused on several important topics and motivation to exchange experiences and establish international partnerships in preparing training programs. Qualification of personnel specialized in communication science and information technology.
The meeting witnessed the research in cooperation with the Egypt University of Information and ITI Institute in specialized academic training and education.
During the meeting, it was stated that IIT has more than 20 branches in different Indian cities, providing training, research and consulting services to industries related to the nature and requirements of these cities.
As part of his Indian visit, Dr Amr Talaat also met with Mr Shivendra Sinag, Vice President and President of NASSCOM World Trade Development and several organization companies with more than 3 thousand members.
Additionally, the IT industry expectedly provides 90% of the revenues in the Business Result Services and Technology Industry Science of India; the industry offers the highest percentage of employment in India’s private sector.
The two sides discussed cooperation in digital capacity building, engagement industry development and cross-border services through coordination between ITIDA and NASSCOM;
the members also expressed their readiness to cooperate with Egyptian technology companies implementing digital transformation projects.
In a connected context, Dr Amr Talaat and the accompanying delegation visited the software technology centre in Delhi; met with Mr Arvind Kumar, Director General Software Technology Centres of India (STPI) of the Ministry of Electronics,
and IT, Created a supportive environment for start-ups in collaboration with industry, academics and with sector support Private. It has eight centres spread across India, specializing in one technology.
During the meeting, both the involved parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fields of software development, support, innovation, research and development,
and development of start-ups within the framework of the Egyptian state’s efforts to prepare a stimulating environment for digital creativity and entrepreneurship throughout the Republic by deploying Ibda centres.
