On Monday, January 16, 2023, Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit will host a press conference at the Ministry of Finance Conference meeting. He advised the residents to stay tuned for the latest updates on national issues; the sitting will start at 10:00 am.
As per the updates, various matters will be discussed during the meeting. PM Roosevelt Skerrit will provide updates regarding the latest adopted measures by the government of Dominica. A series of new initiatives will be implemented in the coming period, said PM Skerrit.
In addition, the invitation to the people was conveyed through PM Skerrit’s official social media account to join the press conference.
In his message, PM stated,” Greetings, I invite you to attend the meeting to get a better understanding of the national matters and its importance”.
During the conference, Rayburn Blackmoore, the Minister of National Security and Legal Affairs, will also provide essential updates regarding the E-Passport and its issuing process. The authorities of the Commonwealth of Dominica will share every essential piece of information.
Furthermore, the live press conference can be watched on the Prime Minister’s and GIS Dominica’s Facebook page. The conference will broadcast live at 10:00 am on the YouTube page of the Dominican government.
Additionally, PM Roosevelt Skerrit will also be addressing financial matters of the nation and will mention approaches to boost the economy through several latest policies, along with travel updates.
Moreover, the recent handover of the eighteen housing units by the government of Dominica in Bataca and Sineku will also be addressed, as it was a revolutionary step taken to provide resilient rooftops for the people.
The reports have also stated that, under the leadership of PM Roosevelt Skerrit, several plans and strategies for the distinguished sectors and industries of the country.
Recently, the Dominican government approved a restoration contract for the Windsor Park Sports Stadium’s lighting, which was damaged due to Hurricane Maria. The government is rebuilding the entire infrastructure and spent over 8 million dollars.
