Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, Saint Lucia, has recently announced the list of sportspeople and athletes from the nation nominated for the Sports Awards ranging from the number of sports and games in senior and junior categories.
As per the recent information, The National Sports Awards will be held at the Royalton Resort and Spa on 18th February 2023.
In addition, the officials from the Ministry took to the official social media handle to share the news with the people of Saint Lucia. They stated, “We are proud to announce the names of athletes nominated for the upcoming National Sports Awards”.
Furthermore, the award distribution ceremony will also conclude the recent interschool Sports and will mark the first major sports awards ceremony following a two-year Covid-19 global pandemic. Moreover, The National Sports Awards will recognize the extraordinary achievements of Saint Lucia’s top athletes during the event.
The Ministry of Youth and Development and Sports has also conveyed that the awards will be presented in several categories along with the title of Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year and Junior Sportsman and Junior Sportswoman of the Year.
Before the National sports award ceremony, MYDS management handpicked the players and athletes after closely monitoring the performances and stats of the players in their respective games, said reports.
