The Chinese Defence firms are providing key components suitable for the Military use of Russia, said the wall Street Journal on Saturday. A large number of shipments have been completed despite the repeated efforts from Washington to shut the transactions between China and Russia through Turkey and the UAE, said reports.
As per the analysis of the Washington-based think tank, the Russian customs data obtained by C4ADS, the newspaper has also confirmed that 84,000 shipments were completed since the military operations from Russia were launched in Ukraine last February.
Furthermore, the shipments usually included “dual use” components, which are suitable for civilian or Military use, such as semiconductors, aircraft parts, navigation computers, and communication jamming equipment, reports noted.
Moreover, the United States has repeatedly been demanding that China abide by the providing aid to the Russian defence industry and has allowed some of the Chinese companies accused of violating such restrictions, a think tank reported.
Additionally, the authorities from Beijing have denied the sanctions, with a representative from the foreign ministry giving a statement to the Wall Street Journal and calling the allegations “purely speculative and hyped up deliberately.”
On the other hand, Russia has not commented on the newspaper either. At the same time, most Russian and Chinese companies are allegedly refusing to return their messaging, said reports.
The reports claimed that Washington’s European allies had cut their diplomatic ties with Russia, which often affected their economies. In contrast, other partners of America have been less enthusiastic elsewhere in the world. “Many of the shipped components by China to Russia through the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, and both of them have refused to sanction Moscow,” reports added.
On his part, Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken, was due to raise the problem of China’s alleged permissions evasion. At the same time, on a route to Beijing before the trip was cancelled in between the controversy over the presence of a supposed “surveillance balloon” from China over the US on Wednesday.
In the end, With relations between Washington and Beijing at a historic low, China and Russia have continued to make strong their partnership,
Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu said after a visit to Moscow earlier this week. The US, meanwhile, has responded with further sanctions, blacklisting nearly two dozen individuals and entities on Wednesday for allegedly helping Russia acquire military technology.
