J&K government empowers youth to start own business venture under ”Mission Youth’ initiative

Jammu and Kashmir: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has empowered around five and a half lakh youth by providing financial assistance and education to start their venture through the support and aid from Mission Youth, Financial Institutions, along with Institutions affiliated with Central and State Government.

As per the updates, under the core mantra of ‘Yogyata se Rozgar’ of the present dispensation, the government of J&K has been taking concrete steps to encourage men and women to start their businesses and build a bright future for themselves.

In addition, “The beneficiaries under the ‘Mission Youth’ and other initiatives are being provided with every possible and needed assistance and expertise training which enables them to begin a new journey as an entrepreneur and establishing manufacturing units such as Services, transports, retail, transport sector and handicraft along with agri-allied and agri-infra sectors,” said government officials.

Furthermore, the administration of J&K is committed to channelizing the energy and new age vision of the youth in a positive and long-term direction through introducing enhanced opportunities and facilities for them in a number of industries and sectors such as studies, self-employment, entrepreneurship, sports and other potential fields.

The reports stated that Jammu and Kashmir’s administration has been putting extra focus and special thrust on the initiative of the Mission Youth programme as it is providing useful education regarding skilling and self-employment of the youth with specifically designed targeted schemes to drive socio-economic transformation.

“The state government of J&K has also instructed regarding the impact assessment of the launched initiatives and called upon stakeholders for exploring all areas for better corporate engagement in Youth empowerment along with skilling programmes,” reports noted.

Moreover, “The administration of Union Territory is stressing on the self-employment and skilling in rural areas with schemes targeted to initiate socio-economic transformation,” reports added.

In the end, policies have been formulated by the Union Territory government, which engage the youth in the governance process and ensure their taking part in on-ground execution. The guidelines give essential youth opportunities to become representatives of innovation, progress, sports and peace.

A government official noted, “A variety of initiatives have been adopted to ensure the financial inclusion where every resident of the state, irrespective of socio-economic status, is encouraged to participate in the new age economy.”
