The second national forum for human rights was held in Qatar on 12th Sep.

Different departments under the Ministry of the Interior of govt of Qatar participated in the second national human rights forum, which was held on 12th Sep 2023.

 The main agenda of this forum was to highlight the rights of persons with disabilities.

The National Human Rights Committee, the main organizer of this forum, collaborated with local agencies. The Ministry of Interior and the National Human Rights Committee, collaborating with local agencies, made this event successful. Abdullah bin Khalaf Hattab Al-Kaabi, the under-secretary in the Ministry of Interior, inaugurated the forum. 

During the opening ceremony of this second forum on the 12th Sep Tuesday, Khalaf Hattab Al-Kaabi, the under-secretary in the Ministry of Interior, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. He also asserted that the Qatar government is deeply committed to protecting the human rights of disabled persons. He also talked about Qatar Vision 2030 and the top priority of the Ministry of Interior, which is safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities. He also explained about various achievements by the ministry of govt.

Khalaf Hattab Al-Kaabi, the undersecretary in the Ministry of Interior, also said how many initiatives are being taken by the Ministry of Interior. Different departments of the Ministry of Interior also offer employment opportunities to persons with disabilities. According to the undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior, the human resource department has a dedicated office to cater to the needs of people with disabilities. 

The Ministry of Interior also have special windows for physically disabled person for for easy transaction, he added while addressing the forum.

These initiatives are very important to uplift the lives of these people with disabilities. The disabled person should not face any difficulty due to apathy on the part of govt
