The Oman Poice’s aviation department launched an operation to rescue a female Mountain Climber. Climber reportedly belongs to United Arab Emirates. The incident happened on Saturday. After saving the woman, she was admitted to Nizwa Hospital in critical condition.
According to sources, she was doing the practice of Mountaineering in Al Jabal Al Akhdar state in the interior region of the country when she fell from a mountain accidently and sustained serious injuries.
It is also not clear whether she was alone at the time of the accident or other members were also there.
Meanwhile, the civil defence and Ambulance Authority of the State said that rescue teams of the concerned department in the Al Dakhiliya Governorate got a call regarding this incident.
Department officials of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority further revealed that soon after receiving the information, rescue teams rushed to the reported area along with an air ambulance.
It is to be specifically mentioned that local people of the area took care of the woman, locals also provided her basic first aid available with them at that time till the arrival of the air ambulance.
Police appreciated the efforts of the locals who did their best to survive a precious Human life. On arrival, the rescue team also administered her available emergency care at the spot to stabilise her condition.
A video was also surfaced on social media. In the video, a policeman is seen carrying a stretcher and lifting it into the hovering helicopter. The helicopter then landed to get the injured climber admitted to the hospital.
Police person strapped her to a hanging stretcher on which Emirati Woman was laid out. After taking all necessary precautions, members of the rescue team pulled the stretcher inside the helicopter with utmost care.
Till now, no exact information is available as to how the incident happened with an Emirati woman while practising Mountaineering. Additionally, Oman’s civil or police also did not disclose any further information in this context.
