Ruler of Sharjah welcomes students from the Jagiellonian University of Poland

Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and the Supreme President of the Arabic Language Academy (ALA), on the 29th of October, welcomed a group of Arabic students from Jagiellonian University of Poland.

During the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Sultan extended a warm welcome to the Polish delegation. He also expressed his happiness and extreme pleasure on courtesy of these Polish students to learn and improve their Arabic language skills during their visit to Sharjah.

During their stay, the students of Polish universities can take advantage of educational programmes offered by the Arab Language Academy and other cultural academic and higher educational institutions in Sharjah.

Throughout the meeting, the Sharjah Ruler underlined the significance and importance of the Arabic language in modern times, and how students can get themselves familiar with the Rababic language by delving into its history, linguistic richness, and aesthetic qualities.

Ruler also stressed the importance of preserving and promoting the Arabic language in all regions of the world, underscoring the need for its support in teaching, documentation, and active use in various contexts and events.

He also describes the discussions held at the Academy’s Council, which brings together intellectuals, writers, and experts who cover a wide range of cultural, scientific, and topics of historical importance.

The Arabic language was the key topic in all these discussions to preserve and protect its heritage. These conversations also lead to developing initiatives and programmes to uphold the greatness and richness of this language.

On the other hand, the Polish delegation also expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous support from His Highness, which will allow the students to benefit from the Arabic language teaching programmes available in Sharjah.

The delegation also appreciated Sharjah for its outstanding universities, institutions, programmes, and activities encompassing various cultural, social, and tourism-related fields. They also appreciated the efforts made by the Ruler of Sharjah in promoting culture, heritage etc
