Israeli PM declares war against the Hamas group

Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, today announced openly that his country is at war with the Hamas group. He said Israel will avenge the death of 22 Israeli who lost their lives in a Hamas  attacks.

He gave this message to the Israeli people through a video message from the Military headquarters in Tel Aviv.

In response to the rocket attack, Israel also launched an air strike along the Gaza Strip.
Defence minister of Israel Yoav Gallant, while speaking specifically on the Hamas attack, said that the Hamas group had made a “grave Mistake”by attacking Israel.

Israeli defence forces also declare the state of readiness for war.Recently, Palestinian fighters have launched their largest attack on Israeli territory. With this attack, Hamas fighters infiltrated areas of southern Israel.

Hamas also launched nearly 2,000 rockets to hit Israeli territories . Rockets were launched from the Gaza strip in which one women killed and more than 15 persons injured.

The current violence started just days after statement of Hamas in which Hamas called  that people had to draw a line to end the israeli occupations.

Notably, as many as 247 Palestinian and 32 Israelis, as well as two foreigners, have been killed in the conflict this year  so far.

After the statement of Prime Minister government asked the civilians to stay near the shelters, and those living near the Gaza Strip were advised to stay inside their homes.

On the other side armed wing of the Hamas group also announced that it had started “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” and said in the first 20 minutes, they had launched almost 5,000 rockets.

Hamas leader Mohamed Deif said that the time of recklessness without accountability is over for Israel.Deif also added further that “we have decided to say enough is enough.” he urged all Palestinians to confront Israel.

This is the last day of the greatest battle to end the last occupation on earth, he said in an audio message.

A video clip on social media shows a burning Israeli tank surrounded by the Jubilant Palestinians.

Moreover, on Saturday morning, the Israeli planes attacked the Gaza Strip under an operation they called “Operation Iron Sword”. Israeli army soldiers were engaged in ground fighting at several locations in  conflicting Zone.

 

This high-scale fighting started after weeks of growing tension and months of deadly clashes in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

it is to be added that the Hezbollah’s movement in Lebanon also released a statement and said that they are also watching the events in Israel closely and are in direct contact with the leadership of the Palestinian resistance forces.
