As tensions with Iran have skyrocketed in recent months, the two new partners have intensified military cooperation.
In the first week of the month, they even signed a defence pact, and last week, Bahrain declared that a naval officer would be stationed in Manama, which is also the home of the Navy’s 5th Fleet. It was confirmed by the Israeli military and will have a naval representative attached to the 5th Fleet.
