Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Higher Organizing Committee for the Amateur and Professional World Cup for Bodybuilding for Men and Women announced that it would host the first event of its kind, from November 18 to 19, at Zayed Sports Complex.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Federation for Body Building and Fitness, chaired the meeting of the Higher Organizing Committee of the event in the presence of Mohammed Obaid bin Majid, Director of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Abdulaziz Buhendi, Director of the General Sports Authority in Fujairah, and Khalil Marouf, the tournament director, Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi, a member of the Body Building Federation, along with representatives of the Fujairah Civil Defense Department, the Fujairah Police General Command, Public Works and Health Department, local and federal authorities and departments in Fujairah, and a number of officials.
The meeting, which was held at the Novotel Fujairah Hotel, reviewed ways to organize the tournament, to appear distinctive in all aspects, in line with the successes achieved over the past years.
Sheikh Abdullah Al Sharqi said that Fujairah has become a global city in bodybuilding and that the Emirates Bodybuilding Federation is proud of the distinguished role of the bodybuilding championships that were organized in Fujairah and promoted the qualitative shift of muscle sport at the local and global levels, expressing his confidence in the success of the most prominent event, which It will be held next November.
In turn, Mohammed bin Majid, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said: The World Championship for Amateurs and Professionals is fundamentally different from the previous tournaments that were organized in Fujairah in the past years, in the way they were organized and the quality of the participating champions, as well as in terms of financial prizes, and we expect record participation from the players, and we look forward from While working with the contributors to organizing the tournament, who are our strategic partners, to add a new success to the Emirati successes in the sports aspect, through the upcoming World Championships for Amateurs and Professionals for Bodybuilding, which requires cooperation in a more distinguished manner, to come up with the best picture during the organization of the tournament.
Khalil Maarouf, tournament director, revealed that the committees emanating from the organizing committee continue to perform their tasks to reach full readiness before the start of the competitions, hoping that the public enjoys the high level of competition.
