According to Magen David Adom, an Israeli woman was shot dead and seriously injured on February 4, Friday, in the mixed Arab-Jewish city of Lod.
The man who shot her was waiting for the 22-year-old woman in front of her home. When she arrived in her car, he shot her immediately, and her daughter was also present at the crime location.
As per the Police believes shooting is interlinked with her divorce proceedings because that is what is happening in her life. Furthermore, police stated that they are investigating the matter, and the searching process of the person who killed her is going on.
However, this motive is accurate or not; it was not clear. Moreover, some reports also indicate that a good friend of Salam’s had been shot and killed last month in the city.
According to the Magen David Adom, the woman was taken to Shamir Medical Center in Tel Aviv immediately. As per doctors and medics, women are critical and conscious. “We put her in an ambulance and took her to the hospital in a serious and unstable condition,” they added.
The man was recognised as Mohammed Salam, a citizen of the city. The second victim was also in his 20s. He was vacated to the hospital in a serious condition.
His death marked the 72nd killing of an Arab Israeli this year, in brutality that continues to spread in the community.
On Friday, also one woman lost her life while driving in the central town of Ramle.
Police doubt that the woman, identified as Lorin Musrati, came in a target by her late husband’s family, who lost his life in 2015.
As per the reports, they were against the decision of Ramle that she left her husband’s family along with her children for Haifa after her husband was killed, also included that the law enforcement was also looking into other reasons for the attack.
There were also another three non-fatal shootings that took place in towns.
As per the reports of 2020, 96 Arab Israelis have been killed so far, the highest yearly toll in recent memory. However, at the start of 2021, 72 Arabs Israelis were killed, of which 11 were women.
