One Indian man attempted suicide by hanging himself in Kuwait. He was 56-year-old, and as per his friend’s statements, he was suffering from a financial crisis and some family issues.
After getting the news, police immediately rusted to the spot in the governorate of Al Farwaniya, South of Kuwait City, and sent his body to the forensic lab for a checkup that is it actually a suicide or not.
However, Kuwait has numerous cases of suicide in the nation. Last month, in January, an Indian immigrant and one of the Kuwaiti teenagers had also hanged to death in two different suicide cases.
In December, police arrested an Egyptian immigrant who had attempted self-immolation in a suicide bid.
Last year in 2021, October, as per the Kuwaiti sources, the immigrants attempting suicide faced removal after a reported fluctuation in a rise in such bids in the Kuwait nation.
As per the sources, the Interior Ministry has issued clear and straightforward instructions to security men to deal firmly with these cases.
Furthermore, Kuwait has boosted security checks on the Sheikh Jaber Causeway, One of the world longest bridges, after an increment in suicide attempts on the site.
Foreigners make up about 3.4 million of Kuwait’s overall population of approximately 4.6 million.
However, many people lost their lives in Kuwait during the time of the pandemic, and most of the suicide cases came from the immigrant’s side.
One man and woman also attempted suicide last year in October; due to the pandemic, they were jobless and did not have a penny to spend and to eat. The man hung himself from the tree, and the woman hung himself from the ceiling fan.
According to the sources, that man belonged to Maharashtra, and the reason he attempted suicide is that he was unable to come back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The man was unable to return to Kuwait as the COVID-19 vaccine he had taken is not valid in the Gulf country.
The man was identified as Siraj Mapkar. Mapkar had been functioning at an oil unit in Kuwait. The man supposed to some India in Match this year.
