Egypt: People died, and 30 others were injured in a car-truck collision with a tour bus on El-Galalah Road in Egypt.
The dead and injured were transferred to the Suez General Hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses to the Egyptian police, the accident took place yesterday, Wednesday, when the transport vehicle, which was loaded with “basalt” material for paving roads, collided with the front of the bus from the left, which resulted in the destruction of a large part of the bus.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population in Suez, Ismail Al-Hafnawi, revealed to “Sky News Arabia” that the accident occurred about 25 kilometres before the city of Galala, noting that the necessary ambulances were paid to transport the injured to the hospital and the dead to the morgue.
He added that all the injured were transferred to the Suez General Hospital, where the emergency situation was lifted.
The director of Suez General Hospital, Ahmed Noah, said that the injuries of the wounded in the accident varied between fractures and cuts and minor injuries, while there were some critical cases that required them to be admitted to intensive care.
A team from the Public Prosecution Office moved to the site of the accident to inspect and determine its causes. The driver of the transport vehicle was taken into custody, and the Public Prosecution office moved to hear the statements of the injured in the hospital.
