D. Prevention: The Kingdom of Bahrain takes great care of the health of mother and child, believing in supporting health since the beginning of life.
Dr. Walid Al-Mani, Deputy Minister of Health, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain takes great care of maternal and child health because of its belief in the importance of continuing health support from the beginning of life, so the Kingdom of Bahrain, based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Organization UNICEF) and the World Health Association adopt the global strategy for feeding infants and young children Implementation of the International Blog for Marketing of Breast Milk.
In the alternative, a Decree was issued by Law No. (4) of 1995 on the Control of the Use, Marketing and Promotion of Breast Milk alternatives, followed in 2018 by a Decision to Organize Procedures and Regulations of Control on the Use, Marketing, and Promotion of Breast-Milk Alternatives, and enacted an also launching the Child-Friendly Hospitals Initiative.
This came during the launch of a workshop package for approved training for health workers to support breastfeeding in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the title of “Breastfeeding from a scientific and practical perspective”, which launched this morning at Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa Hall in the Wali Al-Ahd Training Center and Medical research under the auspices of Dr. Jalila the daughter of Mr. Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, organized by the Nutrition Department of Public Health Administration and in cooperation with the Guardian Center for Medical Training and Research, the Committee for Breastfeeding Support and Monitoring the Marketing of Breast Milk Alternatives in the Ministry of Health and in joint coordination with government hospitals and Marak Z primary healthcare and Bahrain defence force hospital and king Hamad hospital.
The university and several private hospitals, in the presence of Major General Professor Sheikh Khaled bin Ali Al Khalifa, Commander of Royal Medical Services, Assistant Attorney for Public Health Dr Maryam Al-Hajri, and a number of officials and concerned with the Ministry of Health and Bahrain Defense Force Hospital And the parties involved.
