Bahrain National Revenue Authority calls for implementation of label system on cigarettes products

Bahrain: The National Revenue Authority has confirmed that as of October 16, 2022, the final phase of the special label system (digital stamps) will be applied to cigarette products in accordance with the National Revenue Authority Executive Decision No. (3) for 2022, where all platforms must carry Cigarette jats available for sale, trade, supply or hold At local markets on digital stamps.

This phase comes within a specific time plan, which entered into its first phase for cigarette products as of March 11, 2022, where the system has been made available to registrants of cigarette importers and local manufacturers to apply for the purchase of digital stamps, which is the stage of the import ban.
