Kuwait: From September 23 to 27, the Russian Union organized a propaganda campaign called “referendum” in the temporarily occupied territories in Kherson, Zaborgya, Luhansk and Donetsk districts in Ukraine.
Forcing people in these territories to fill out some papers under threat of the weapon of the Russian army is Russia’s other crime in the context of its aggression against Ukraine, blatantly violating the constitution, laws of our country, the rules of international law and Russia’s international commitments.
This play has nothing to do with the expression of will and has no consequences for the regional administrative structure and internationally recognized borders of Ukraine. Ukraine and the international community condemn such Russian actions as null and void.
All citizens of Ukraine who participated in the organization of this campaign with the Russian occupiers will be punished fairly according to the provisions of the Criminal Law of Ukraine. The competent authorities in Ukraine are already taking necessary measures to track them down and bring them to justice.
As in the case of the Ukrainian Crimean Peninsula, the lands of the Lohansk, Donetsk, Zaborgya and Kherson districts remain subject to Ukrainian sovereignty. Ukraine has every right to restore the unity of its territories by military and diplomatic means and continues the liberation of the occupied territories temporarily.
Ukraine will never agree to any final alerts from the Russian Federation; Moscow’s attempts to create new drawing lines or to weaken international support for Ukraine are doomed to failure.
By conducting fake “polls” in temporarily occupied territories in Ukraine, Russia has deliberately proven that all indications of its readiness for negotiations are nothing but a cover-up of armed aggression and helpless attempts to cling to temporarily occupied territories. Russia consistently shows contempt for all those who have called for diplomacy.
We expect that the countries concerned will draw conclusions about Russia’s true intentions and further support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression and not hide their lack of willingness to play the role of peacekeeping forces that Russia does not need.
Ukraine calls on all countries and international organizations to immediately condemn the illegal acts of the Kremlin in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories and to strengthen the isolation of Russia.
Ukraine calls on the EU, NATO and the G7 to increase pressure on the offensive state immediately, including imposing new strict sanctions on Russia and a drastic increase in military support to Ukraine, including the provision of tanks and For fighter jets, armoured vehicles and long-range artillery and defence systems Airborne and anti-missile.
We call on our partners to show Russia that increased support for Ukraine for our country’s victory over the aggressor will be a single response to merger attempts, blackmail and final alerts.
