Dubai: The Dubai Events Security Committee (ESC) has recently held a coordinating meeting with the strategic partners and 33 liaison officers from friendly countries to review the emirate’s readiness to provide the highest levels of safety, security and happiness to the football fans of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, who will be visiting or taking Dubai as their residence.
During the meeting, which was held at the Dubai Police Officer’s Club, Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Department of Organisations Protective Security & Emergency at Dubai Police and Chairman of ESC, reaffirmed the Dubai Police’s keenness to coordinate and cooperate with strategic partners in the public and private sectors to the success of the events organized and hosted by the UAE.
He said that the Emirate of Dubai had drawn the attention of the International Football Association “FIFA” to be among the six cities to host this year’s FIFA Fan Festival during World Cup 2022. “That is thanks to Dubai’s integrated infrastructure, the qualified human cadres, public facilities, shopping centres, and the great experience in hosting sporting and economic events and international exhibitions,” he added.
During the meeting, Dubai Police showcased its services and projects, including Police Eye, Oyoon (Eyes) project, e-crime Platform, Smart Police Stations (SPS), Victim Support Program, Lost & Founds service and Unified Service system.
