The 33rd meeting of the ministers of justice of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was held in Muscat, capital city of the Sultanate of Oman. The Delegation of Qatar participated in the meeting led by Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri, The minister of justice of Qatar.

While addressing the meeting attendees, Qatar’s justice minister also expressed his views on cooperation between member countries. He briefly described the importance of cooperation and multilateral coordination between the justice of member countries of GCC and its vital role in upholding the gains and achievements.

Furthermore, he stressed that joint efforts of the GCC countries will serve the larger purpose of judicial cooperation among the various judicial bodies of GCC countries.

Qatar Justice Minister Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri said a positive discussion on this GCC platform would be beneficial to bring transparency in GCC countries’ judicial systems.

As per him, it is noteworthy to learn important lessons from the outcome of the meeting.

The meeting also delved into the provisions of the draft agreement; the draft agreement was executed on the extradition of accused persons in member countries of GCC.

The meeting also reviewed the project undergoing to develop an agreement on the enforcement of judgements, judicial cooperation, and services in GCC countries.

Oman’s initiative to enhance the judicial cooperation and judicial cooperation was also discussed in the meeting.

GCC member country’s justice minister also issued a number of recommendations that will be submitted by every nation before the next session of the council.

Qatri’s justice minister also welcomed the initiative of the Oman on various fronts, especially on the judicial front. He appreciated the members And an official of judicial bodies for their consistent, tireless, continuous efforts to promote judicial work among the GCC countries.

He hoped that these joint efforts would improve the cooperation and coordination to achieve the required integration among the member countries of the GCC.
