Prime Minister of Iraq attends 7th Ambassador conference

Baghdad: Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, Attended the Seventh Ambassadors Conference. This 7th conference was Held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq. During his address, the Prime Minister emphasized the exceptional significance of Iraqi diplomacy.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani reaffirmed Iraq’s unwavering principles, values, and objectives, which are aligned with the national interests of Iraq across multiple sectors and are necessary for collaboration with a number of countries. He also highlighted the relation of Iraq with international and regional organizations.

Prime Minster also said that Iraq wants friendly relations with all the countries, and we underscore the paramount importance of national interests and our core values of justice, peace, while maintaing good relations with neighbours and economic collaboration.

The PM emphasized that The concern regarding the Palestinian issue is a most unwavering and enduring manifestation of our agenda, given the right of the people of Palestine to the occupied territories and holy sites intact. It is worth mentioning that Iraq is guided by the perspective of the religious authorities, notably the stance of the Supreme Religious Authority in Holy Najaf, which naturally stems from the earlier stand held by Najaf on the issue of Palestine.

PM strongly condemned the atrocities of the Israeli defence forces against the people of Gaza and demanded an immediate ceasefire. We must unite together to swiftly establish humanitarian corridors with the involvement of all countries of the region to safeguard the well-being of the people in Gaza, PM added.

On raising the Palestinian support fund, the PM said that It aligns with our objective, as the situation in Gaza represents a moral and humanitarian test for everyone who values freedom worldwide. He also stressed that Iraq has become the key to the solution of the Middle East conflict.

Prime Minister said that killing unarmed civilians and children is a violation of international humanitarian laws. He called upon the international community to put diplomatic pressure on Israel to prevent the innocent people.
