Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire has shared some glimpses from the closing ceremony of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Art Festival. The festivities for the event, which were hosted in different parts of the country over the week has successfully concluded.
The closing ceremony for the Saint Lucia Jazz and Art Festival was also a remarkable success with several local and international music artists performing at the event. The Minister of Tourism, with responsibility for the carnival and festive events of the country was delighted with the success of the programme.
Dr Hilaire shared some glimpses from the closing event on their social media account. He thanked all the members of the organizing committee for the success of the event.
The 2024 edition of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival – The Ultimate Celebration started with the beginning of the month. The event featured a variety of artists delivering a world class performance for hundreds of guests who attended the event.
The artists who performed at the event in Saint Lucia came from various parts of Caribbean as well the world. The people of Saint Lucia were also represented well by the plethora of local artists.
The fans and admirers of Dominica’s renowned artists got the opportunity to witness a live performance by Michele Henderson. Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire highlighted that she brought her Dominican vibrance to the stage with her vocals.
Meanwhile Jamal Slocombe and 1816 Rebel performed with vibrant rhythms and sweet melodies in the Bajan way. Further, Saint Lucian performers Augustin “Jab” Duplesis, Allison Marquis, and Carl Gustave also delivered a sweet Saint Lucian rhythm, with Carl Gustave kicking off the show.
Air Supply had the Sunday crowd at a standstill as they sang along to their many hits, leaving Baby Face to close the show. The event was attended by hundreds of people who enjoyed the festivities and cultural highlights of Saint Lucia.
