Dominica: Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit is hosting a meet-and-greet event in Antigua and Barbuda with Dominica Labour Party supporters in the Caribbean nation. The gathering is being observed on Friday, June 06, 2025 with an aim to connect with Dominica’s people living on that island.
Reportedly, the meeting is a key part of the celebrations that marks the 70th anniversary of the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) which was commemorated recently by organizing a Grand National Rally on Sunday, June 01, 2025.

The 70th anniversary is a significant milestone for the Labour Party which is reflecting its long-standing influence on political landscape of Dominica and its contributions towards the development of the country.
Grand Rally in Dublanc shows DLP’s strength
Over the last weekend, Dominica Labour Party hosted a Grand National Rally in Dublanc which attracted a huge crowd of its supporters in red attire symbolizing the ruling party. The event highlighted the mobilization efforts of the party and also showcased the strong support that the DLP still commands among the populace.

Moreover, the attendees there expressed their enthusiasm and solidarity, considering the vision of the party for Dominica’s future.
According to DLP officials, the rally energized local supporters and reinforced the unity within the party as it prepares for future political endeavors.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has also received the notable outreach from fellow regional leaders on the DLP’s anniversary, which included Prime Minister fo Saint Lucia – Philip J. Pierre and the Guest Speaker Prime Minister of Barbados – Mia Amore Mottley, at the rally.
