Israel is dependent on Russia for security coordination in Syria, where Russia has a military presence. Over recent years, Israel has repeatedly struck weapons caches destined for its enemies and other targets.
According to the representative of Israel’ Mashav’, this is a small gesture of friendship towards the Ukrainian people, a division of the Foreign Ministry that coordinates Israel’s national aid, as the third plane was being loaded.
She furthermore stated that this is the mission of 100 tons in one day to Ukraine, and especially without precedent, and we should be prideful on this mission.
According to the Foreign Minister statement, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid personally finalized all humanitarian aid packaging.
