Lahore: As per reports of Wednesday, Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz left abroad in order to meet with his mother after a gap of three years.
As per the details, the chief minister of Punjab left for Qatar on a private visit to meet with his mother, and he would come back to Pakistan tomorrow after meeting his mother.
After following Lahore High Court (LHC) orders, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif Saturday was declared the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab at a ceremony carried out at the Governor House.
National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Asharaf administered hamza Shehbaz Sharif the oath on LHC order after Punjab Governor Omar Cheema turned down the court’s suggestion and refused to administer the oath.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif’ attended the oath-taking ceremony, and many other ministers also attended the ceremony, including Rana Sanaullah, Musaddiq Malik, Azam Nazeer Tarar and others.
Hamza Shahbaz is the new CM of Punjab, and he was elected after securing 197 votes following a chaotic session at the regional assembly that saw Deputy Speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari attacked. PML-Q leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi get injured.
Hamza garnered 197 votes in a bid to beat Elahi — his rival, whose party PML-Q and ally PTI boycotted the election held on April 16.

Hamza was born on September 6 1974, to Shehbaz Sharif. He is a professional businessman and known as ‘Poultry King of Punjab.’ He actually ran the family business when his family was in exile.
