Bahrain readied itself for the 9th SDMX global conference.

This conference will be hosted by Kingdom of bahrin  from 29th October to 2nd November in Manama. this conference will be based on the theme of statistical data and metadata exchange.The theme of this conference will be “Empowering Data Communities”

The event will be co-organised by Bahrain information and eGovernment authority and sponsors of SDMX with the active support of ESCWA Banca d, Italia  .

The event will be a great opportunity to bring close a broad range of official statistics compliers with user from the various national , international , regional agencies . it will  also give opportunity to   academia and players of private sector .

.This confernce is a bi-annual event that provide oppurtunity to statistics community across the globe to share their views and latest information .  This also give them a plateform to discuss on recent and upcoming SDMX devolpments .

The conference will begin with the plenary sessions . the plenary session will  go for three days . The plenary session  will be followed by statistical capicity-building session for statisticians at the beginner and advanced leval . This session of statisticians will be of two days .

Conference is a mojor global event ever oraginsed in the field of statistics  . Here statiscian grab opportunity to discuss latest international devolpment .It will also be discussed how to enhance the process of exchanging statistical data , SDMX metadata ,and indicator .

Specialised workshops and genral workshops also be part of this conference . it will enable the participants to keep themself up to date .

The very first edition  of the conference was held in united satete of america in the year of 2007 . The 8th editipn was held virtually due to covid-19 pandemic .Confernece is a bi-annual type event of official statistics community worldwide .Participation in SDMX conference is free of charge .

Participation at the SDMX Conference is free of charge. Registration is required to attend in-person and to watch the plenary session which will be held online
