Prime Minister and FM of Qatar met the IRCS president

His Excellency Prime Minister of Qatar and his foreign minister, Mr. Sheikh Mohammad bin, met the IRCS president in Newyork. They both were in New York to participate in the 78th United Nations General Assembly session.

The International Red Cross Society (IRCS) is world world-level body . It is a  humanitarian group that assists needy people .

The world recognises the work of the International Red Cross Society, mainly in war-hit countries. On the sidelines of this 78-session of UNGA , Qatar’s prime minister and finance minister also explained how Qatar is keen to cooperate with IRCS .

Qatar’s prime minister and finance minister also added that their country provides a huge assisstance to war-torn Sudan. It is not only Sudan Rather, there are many other neighbouring countries of Qatar and countries of the region where the Qatar govt is assisting.

Both sides also briefed each other on how the cooperation between Qatar and IRCS benefits the affected people . The problem faced by refugee host countries was also on the agenda of this meeting .

Views were shared on how bilateral relations between Qatar and other countries in conflict zones are important for world peace .

IRCS president explained in depth the challenges for IRCS to deliver assistance in war-hit countries .

The most important things that need to be taken care of in these war-torn countries are issues relating to food availability, drinking water quality, cost-effective medical services , and provisions relating to environmental protection .
