In appreciation of the outstanding service provided in detecting “fragility” using bone density radiation
Endocrine and Diabetes consultant got Dr Thamer El-Issa received the 2022 World Leadership in the Field of Osteoporosis Award presented by the World Clinical Society for Measurement of Bone Density at the conclusion of its annual conference held remotely recently.
The award comes in recognition of the outstanding service rendered by Dr Thamer Elissa and leadership in the field of the detection of osteoporosis using bone density radiation.
Issa is the first Gulf doctor to receive this appreciation award, which began being presented in 2006 and is nominated by many osteoporosis specialists around the world.
It is reported that the World Clinical Society for Bone Density Measurement was founded in the United States in 1993 and has more than 2,700 members representing more than 25 countries around the world and specializes in bone density measurement and diagnosis of osteoporosis using specialized radiological devices.
