Gulf Air of Bahrain has launched a standalone vacation booking platform App

Gulf Air and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BETA) have declared the launch of the Gulf Air Holidays.

According to Bahrain’s national carrier, the standalone product presents Gulf Air’s passengers the opportunity in which they can directly book a hotel and flight for travel to Bahrain and GCC countries.

Gulf Air’s acting CEO, Waleed AlAlawi, and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority CEO, Dr Nasser Qaedi, both attended the event.

AlAlawi stated: “Gulf Air is going towards the airline retailing in which they are creating a new opportunities to reach out and connect. This has been made possible through the use of the most recent distribution standards and the development of solutions.

They further stated that “we have enhanced our websites, now customers can directly book their flights and hotels in one transaction.”

He added that the project’s first phase would benefit passengers from the airline’s cities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Oman.

Features which included in the websites are holidays.gulfair,com-they can use chat support, a dedicated 24/7 contact center and they can all if they want any changes in their packages, amendments and cancellations.

According to Qaedi, the only aim is to launch these efforts to attract a number of visitors to Bahrain and offer and provide them with a variety of tourism and entertainment activities that they can choose according to their taste, needs and budget.

“We are happy to cooperate with Gulf Air in a bid to launch new and unique offerings that will take advantage of all the events and activities taking place in Bahrain in 2022 and to achieve their goal and to implement the exciting initiative that will further add value to the tourism sector in Bahrain.”

The kingdom’s new tourism strategy seeks to increase the number of tourists to 14.1 million by 2026, raising the average daily visitor spending to BD74.8 and the average tourist nights to 3.5 days.

Gulf Air recently reintroduced three exclusive initiatives for visitors to Bahrain: the Bahrain Stopover in partnership with BTEA, Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix 2022 packages in partnership with the Bahrain International Circuit, and Al Dana Amphitheatre packages to promote events at the venue hall.
