St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew along with his wife Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew hosted a cocktail reception for the participants of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) International Congress which was held in St. Kitts and Nevis from Nov 17 to 21, 2024.
PM Drew and his wife at the cocktail reception welcomed participants from over 90 countries. The BPW Congress provided a platform for addressing the key issues related to gender equality, women empowerment and leadership. They were conjoined by the Governor General Dame Marcella Liburd.
Considering this, Drew expressed that they were pleased to host a cocktail reception for the executives and members of BPW International.
Prime Minister Drew said that this is for the first time that the prestigious event was held in a Caribbean Country in which 350 members from 72 countries participated in St. Kitts and Nevis for the BPW International Congress.
Reportedly, PM Drew hosted the BPW International Congress gathering at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and the Royal Beach Casino. He shared that the nation is proud to welcome over 300 members from the world.
Moreover, President of BPW International (2021-2024) – Dr. Catherine Bosshart has officially invited the members and the guests to the XXXI BPW International Congress.
The Business and Professional Women’s International Club of St. Kitts (BPW St. Kitts) is a non-profit and a non-partisan organization. The mission of the club is to develop the professional, business and leadership potential of women at all levels. The women are involved through advocacy, networking, skill building and economic empowerment programs and projects.
Notably, BPW St. Kitts is a part of a wider network of Business and Professional Women which are affiliated in more than 100 countries and in five continents. Business and Professional Women in St. Kitts was inaugurated on May 16, 1975, at ‘Fairview Inn’ with an initial membership of 24 women and since its inception, the BPW club has enjoyed many years of vibrancy and success.
