St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew joined the 93rd anniversary celebration of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) held on Sunday, Jan 26, 2025. Celebration by ruling party showcased a massive support by organizing a church service at The Good News Baptist Church in Lime Kiln.
Commemorating the anniversary, PM Drew shared the photographs from the SKNLP celebration and acknowledged that it was a well time spent together and noted, “This morning, it was a meaningful time shared with the comrades and the congregation.”
Dr. Drew and the fellow federation members present at the celebration also thanked the church and the Pastor and expressed, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Richards and the church for warmly welcoming us all, as we grant our thanks to God for his continued guidance and blessings.”
Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis was conjoined by Konris G.M. Maynard at the 93rd anniversary and said, “I must also thank the Hon. Konris G.M. Maynard and the comrades of Constituency #3 for hosting us in their constituency.”
PM Drew explained that the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party was founded back in 1932, that makes it the oldest political party in the twin-island nation as well as in the entire English-speaking Caribbean.
The ruling St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party is in collaboration with its sister organization ‘St. Kitts and Nevis Trades and Labour Union’ that brings democracy and negotiated independence together.
SKNLP has enabled land ownership for ordinary citizens and introduced comprehensive secondary education, universal healthcare and social security. It also owns the housing revolution and the transition from a sugar-based economy that set foundation for a modern St. Kitts and Nevis, among many other contributions.
Notably, the SKN Labour Party is continuously working under the theme ‘For the good that we can do.’ Following the 93rd celebration PM Terrance Drew extended his wishes and asked to join him in congratulating the party as it celebrates the momentous achievement.
“I sincerely thank the leadership over the many years and especially the rank and file of the comrades or our great Party,” stated PM Drew.
Further, Minister of Public Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Domestic Transport, ICT and Post – Konris G.M. Maynard also shared the glimpses from the celebration and expressed that they had an amazing session of worship to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party at the church.
He also requested the citizens to keep believing in SKNLP and said, “We continue to believe that our Political Party exist For the Goos That We Can Do!”
It was a vibrant event that comprised of different sessions, which marked the great milestone conquered throughout these years.
