Israel: Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Navy Army, Lieutenant Colonel Guy Goldparv, attended Wounded Division Organization on Wednesday, 16 November, in honour of wounded and disabled soldiers of IDF(Israel Defence Forces).
The event was organized to cherish and acknowledge the hard work and sacrifices made by the Israeli Navy and Army veterans during their serving period. Deputy commander Guy Goldparv said, in respect of the disabled and wounded soldiers, ”I salute you for what you have done for the state of Ethiopia”.
Lieutenant Colonel Guy Goldparv expressed his respect and pride to the Israeli Army and Navy marines who served in IDF (Israeli Defence Forces), who lost some of their body parts and got wounded heavily during the war. He further stated that the war never stopped for the soldiers. The repercussions and after-war effects stay with them for the rest of their lives which they continue to experience and have to fight every other day during their personal life.
The sea marines of Israel go through mental and physical stress, which they obtained from the war. The wars have their repercussions and consequences irrespective of the results for both sides, and those consequences are known as lifelong hauntings in the life of a soldier. The organized event was a heartfelt way of recognizing the heroism they all showed in their military days.
Additionally, Colonel Guy Goldparv stated that the contribution of the disabled and wounded vets to Israeli national security will always be remembered and recognized as the ultimate sacrifices they have made for their country.
The nation will always be honoured to have such heroes to protect it from external enemy forces, whether on the ground, air or water. The chief of Staff, Guy Goldparv, spoke about honouring the soldiers and conversed with them during their meeting.
