Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Khalifa Al Thani officially inaugurated the Maradona Exhibition at Qatar Executive Premium Terminal at Hamad International Airport on 28 November. Al Thani stated that the event would be open from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm daily.
Per the reports, the exhibition will be open until mid-December, which features Maradona memorabilia. The collection mainly focuses on showing Argentinian Legend’s career highlights and feats in a very engaging manner. Presentation arranged by her highness and Qatar airport authorities will host interactive games, football history and much more for the visitors.
Sheikha Al Mayassa toured the entire exhibition during the inauguration event with several other officials from airport authorities, and witnessed a primary attraction of the show, a private jet dedicated to the legendary Argentinian footballer.
Diego Maradona was an Argentinian professional footballer who died on 25 November 2020. He is considered as one of the all-time greats in the entire history of football in the world.
Maradona was one of the joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th-century award. He participated in four editions of the FIFA World Cup and lifted the cup in 1986 after scoring a historical goal known as the ‘Hand of God’ goal.
The Maradona Exhibition has been set up at Qatar Airport, followed by the ongoing FIFA World Cup to attract visitors and football fans from all over the world. The event will engage football fans in the history of Argentinian football, which will attract them towards the game as well.
