Egypt: Education and Culture Ministries promotes activities in schools

Egypt: The Ministry of Culture, along with the Ministry of Education in Egypt, to promote more activities in the country’s schools. The Ministry of Culture and Education is introducing initiatives to build the Egyptian community.

As per the reports, the ministries are working on the framework and protocols to enhance the cooperation between Egypt’s education and culture sectors.

The statistics have shown that around 1040 activities have recently been introduced in 890 schools in Egypt, which is expected to benefit approximately forty-seven thousand (47,000) students around the country.

Furthermore, Nevin Al-Kilani, the head of the Education Minister, stated, “Cooperation with the Ministry of Education represents an important step in building the Egyptian.”

Meanwhile, Reda Hijazi, head of the Culture Minister, said, “Applying activities in schools aims to diversify students’ skills and discover talents in different fields.”

According to recent updates, the association framework between the two ministries of Egypt has conveyed that the central Administration for student activities has shared the results of activating the progress of cooperation between the education and culture ministries.

They plan to carry out a series of activities for the student in the schools of Egypt in different districts. Ministries further said that the preserves of the republic in November and October aim to provide cultural values to the students of various Governorates of Egypt.

The primary motive of the initiative is to raise awareness among the students about their cultural heritage and artistic values for education in different stages.

As per the reports, Dr Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, stated that “Cooperation with the Ministry is a significant step in discovering and sharpening the Egyptian skills, where activities and events, which the Ministry has organized by specialists in fields of creativity contribute to the discovery and sharpening of skills”.

Moreover, The Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Dr Iman Hassan, confirmed the motive behind the activities and practice that the ministries are working to empower the students to showcase their skills, abilities and talents etc.

Several activities have been carried out in the schools in different districts, such as in the Greater Cairo Region and Northern Upper Egypt; 224 activities were carried out in 172 schools in Cairo, Giza, Qalioubia, Fayoum and Beni Sweif schools, with a total of 1,036 benefited students.

The total activities and events in Ismailia, Suez, Port Said, South Sinai and North Sinai schools reached 166 activities in 150 schools, with an overall 6059 beneficiaries.
