Bahrain: The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the supervision and leadership of the Health Minister, Jaleela Jawad, recently accepted the acknowledgement award for the best government project in Arab for the development of the health sector through the project “Medicine and Tele Therapy”.
As per the reports, the Bahraini health sector, represented by Minister Jaleela Jawad within the series of continual feats and achievements, has secured the position of the best Arab Project introduced by the Government to enhance the health sector through a project called “Medical and Tele Therapy”.
Furthermore, it was conveyed through the Health Ministry of Bahrain that the implementations by the Ministry of health through primary healthcare centres in the period Second Arab Government Excellence Award 2021-2022) were held in 2023 At the headquarters of the University of Arab States in the sister Arab Republic of Egypt.
The reports have stated that the Ministry of Health has managed to earn this award among three other accolades received by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the institutional field of the Arab Governmental Excellence Award launched in 2019 under the auspice’s presence of Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy President of the United Arab Emirates, Chairman of the Council Ministers Ruler of Dubai.
Moreover, the event was held and conducted smoothly with the help of cooperation and partnership between the Government of the United Arab Emirates along with the League of Arab States represented by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development.
The government health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain was represented through the primary health care centres in the country, with the help and cooperative support and coordination with the Supreme Council of Health and the Board of Secretaries of Health Care Centers Leah and the Ministry of health.
The reports further confirmed that the “Delete Medicine” project won the award of the best Arab government project to develop the health sector among thousands of entries.
The project ‘Delete Medicine’ Received the Shield and Certificate of Excellence from Dr Khatoon Shabar, Family Medicine Consultant Chairman of the Committee on Quality in Primary Care Centres.
During the distribution ceremony, the Delete Medicine project was also recognized by the Telemedicine Services Representative and Dr Hind Sindhi, Family Medicine Consultant Vice Chairman of the Committee.
It has been reported that the idea of the Project is realized to provide multiple and interconnected quality health services while taking into account the highest safety standards using various technical means.
As far as the history is concerned, the Delete Medicine initiative or idea of the Project began in 2018 and has developed further over the period that followed and has expanded further during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In the end, the Project has synced with the accelerated development of services in primary health care centres as part of Team B.
The Health Ministry stated, ”We are free to adopt the Sustainable Development Goals that contributed To the development, support and sustainability of the Project, and receiving this distinguished honour”.
